Two of the oldest, most historically significant objects from the Heritage Center's vaults will be on display. In 1859, while en route from Longueuil, Canada, to Portland, Oregon, the Holy Names Sisters acquired a beautiful oil painting of the Madonna and Child. A few years after they arrived in Oregon the Sisters purchased a harp for musical instruction at St. Mary's Academy. Experts will discuss recent conservation treatments undertaken to preserve these treasures from the vaults.
